In this series, I explore the concept of the pixel as a building block of shape and image. Each embroidery investigates how material, color, and light affect the way these tiny units form a whole. By keeping the resolution and scale of the designs consistent, I experimented with different materials—thread, beads, sequins—varying their texture and reflectivity to see how the same shape could transform.

Some pieces are stitched in tone-on-tone palettes, allowing light alone to define the form, while others contrast color and surface to make the design shift depending on the viewer’s angle. The result is a study in perception and materiality, asking how subtle changes in light and surface alter what we see and feel.
