This series is an exploration of dimensionality—how the spheres feel like it’s emerging from the paper through the use of color, material, and light. I carefully choose beads, and sequins to create seamless gradients that mimic the way light falls on a dimensional object. Each sphere is hand-stitched, bead by bead to preserve the curves, its shape and create a sense of movement and depth.
From a distance, the designs appear clean and graphic. But up close, they reveal their intricate construction—hundreds of small, individual elements stitched over 40 to 80 hours per piece. Patience and precision are essential to maintaining the illusion. This series invites viewers to pause, come closer, and engage with the quiet complexity hidden within each shape.
